Starting this blog was quite difficult. If you have not blogged before, this may be a bit frustrating. This is a new experience for me and I am looking forward to what I can learn from it.
My blogs's name is "Lover of books". That three words is a good description of me and my hobby. I loved reading and books, since my childhood. My grandma was actually the one who planted the love for books and reading in me. She gave me this little books, with lots of pictures and those soft parts that you can touch and I loved reading them. Today I read all kinds of books, especially thick ones, but I also like to read magazines. I read both fiction and non-fiction books. If I choose a non-fiction book, it is usually about drug abuse, anorexia or autism. I like to read about other people's experiences and I learn quite a lot from it.
Reading helps me to relax, especially after a long hard day. Even if I am very tired at night, I will still read a few pages before going to bed. I love going to the library, to look for new books to read. I usually read the short description of the story at the back and then I decide if I want to read the book or not. There is one important thing that I learned in a library: Never judge a book by its cover. The oldest and ugliest books, have the best stories hidden in their pages.

That is so true, "don't judge a book by its cover". My mother is also a big book fan, but I am the right opposite of it. The only time where I read the most is when I am doing research for a project, and now and then I will read magazines and the newspaper if I found something that is interesting. Well I would like to learn more about the different types of books you already have read and how you experieced it, so that I also can make the time to read a bit more.
ReplyDeleteI have read so many books, its hard to decide which one to recommend to you! I usually look for love stories or ones that I might learn something from. I also like to read stories, about people who had a tough time in life, because it helps me to appreciate everything I take for granted. I think a good place for you to start, is Francine River's books. I think you might like her books.
DeleteOkay thanks for the tip. I do have a book of her so I am glad to hear that I am on the right track. I just need to make that extra time to read it.
